Kini's, Denver Food + Wine Festival


Kini’s will be participating in the Denver Food + Wine Festival Grand Tasting on September 9, 2023. The Grand Tasting will be held at The Tivoli Quad on Auraria Campus and Kini’s will be in the VIP area. We dined at Kini’s for a preview & it was excellent, as always.

Our server Chris was attentive and knowledgeable on the menu.

My dining experience began with my favorite Kini’s cocktail - the Yacht Water made with Espolòn Reposado, Poblano Pepper, Club Soda, Spicy Salt.

The Espolòn Reposado was nicely balanced in agave, carbonation & citrus. The poblano pepper & salt tajin rim added heat.

The Flaming Kasseri Cheese was lit with ouzo and topped with toasted pumpkin seeds. This Greek cheese appetizer was flambéed right at the table.

The shot of ouzo added a nice vinegar flavor to the mild, thick cheese. Delicious & a must order.

The Galician Octopus was served atop hummus and bell peppers.

The octopus was sliced into generous pieces - tender & filling.

The Whipped Goat Cheese Dip was topped with saffron apricots & served with crudités & flatbread.

The fluffy whipped goat cheese went well with the sweet apricots.

The Artichokes & Calamari were served with black olive aioli.

For one of our mains we had the Red Snapper (Lithrini) by the pound. The whole Mediterranean fish was freshly caught and served wood oven roasted & dressed in field herbs and lemon.

Beautiful in presentation & taste. The Red Snapper took on a light Mediterranean flavor, gently seasoned with lemon & oil.

The Moroccan Fried Chicken was served with harissa honey & lemon yogurt.

This chicken got our taste buds tingling in the best way! It had a dynamic punch in flavor - spicy from the harissa honey and tangy from the lemon yogurt.

For sides we had the Cacio E Pepe Orzo - creamy & filling.

For dessert we had the Sticky Toffee Pudding made with goat's milk caramel & toasted pecans.

The cake-like pudding was super moist and drenched in dark, rich, sticky toffee sauce - so good.

The Greek Frozen Yogurt was made with lemon granita & olive oil - refreshing & sweet.
