Downtown's Thompson Denver has been hosting so many fun Holiday Events this season and the girls and I got to attend Bubbles & Bûche de Noel at Chez Maggy over the weekend.

We arrived at Thompson Denver and headed inside to their French Brasserie, Chez Maggy. The hotel and restaurant were decorated beautifully for Christmas. Bubbles & Bûche de Noel was held on the second story mezzanine of Chez Maggy and hosted by Chef de Cuisine Jeff Schwing and Chef Dagan Lynn.

Bûche de Noel is dated back to 19th century France and is symbolic of the yule log families would burn on Christmas Eve for good luck in celebration of the new year.

The classic French, yuletide desserts were made from sponge-cake, rolled up and frosted to resemble decorative Yule logs. We sipped on champagne & cocktails while we decorated our very own Bûche de Noels. Chez Maggy provided numerous decorative treats for us to use on our cakes like sprinkles, peppermints, colored frostings and more. Take a look at the final creations.

This was the perfect holiday event with the ladies & we’ll certainly be attending next year.
