The Wizard's Den

Lumos!

This Gryffindor is here to shed some light on a magical cocktail experience that has arrived in Denver - The Wizard's Den (Book Tickets Here)!

The Wizard's Den is an immersive 90-minute magical pop up experience where you can unleash your inner Witch or Wizard while brewing numerous potions, answering trivia questions and solving riddles surrounding your favorite magical characters.

Upon arriving at The Wizard's Den, we were greeted by several exuberant Witches who led us into the bar.

The bar was decked out from head to toe with floating candles, mysterious lighting and mystical drapes - the room set the mood perfectly for this experience!

SO FREAKING MAGICAL!

We were each given wands and led to our table where our cauldrons awaited. We also ran into a Durmstrang Wizard and Dobby on the way.

Dobby is a free elf!

Each table had to come up with their house names so we decided we would be "Hit it n' Quidditch". We couldn't resist a good Harry Potter pun & our table won the naming contest!

The witches who greeted us served as our potion masters and started us out with a delicious Butterbeer inspired cocktail.

It was then time to kick off our potion class and our potion ingredients were brought to our tables. Under the watchful eye of the witches - we brewed our first potion that was quite delicious: The Felicitous and Delicious Tome of Morticia Le Mort.

We got four long glasses with ice and measured our ingredients out using a measuring jug. This potion combined citrus, vodka, fizzy pop, butterfly pea syrup and black fae liquor. We gave our glasses a swirl when all the ingredients had been combined and enjoyed. Luckily we had our Ravenclaw, Kali helping us measure everything out in the subtle science and exact art that is potion-making.

We totally would have had Snape's approval!
