The 36th Annual Champagne Cascade, The Brown Palace

This year’s 36th Annual Champagne Cascade was an unforgettable morning of glitz, glamour, and giving back to the community. Held at the historic Brown Palace Hotel, the event drew hundreds of attendees who were treated to a breathtaking display of holiday cheer. This iconic Denver event featured the lighting of the Brown Palace's Christmas chandelier, & the sabering & pouring of Moet & Chandon champagne into a 5,000+ coupe glass pyramid.

We arrived at The Brown Palace Hotel and headed upstairs for the VIP Viewing on the Mezzanine. The exclusive viewing location on the Mezzanine level of the atrium included all we could eat hors d'oeuvres, all we could drink (beer, wine, champagne), VIP photos & the best views of the Cascade.

Everyone was dressed to impress in holiday cocktail/formal wear.

The Champagne Cascade crowd lined all levels of the holiday adorned atrium as we eagerly awaited the lighting of the Christmas chandelier. Garland danced across the mezzanine arches accompanied by a plethora of twinkling lights and white winter branches. All of these decorations complemented the big decor daddy of them all, the Brown Palace’s 25-foot Christmas chandelier. The two-ton chandelier was donned with 250,000 sparkling crystal beads & hundreds of ornaments. There was a drumroll and the chandelier’s 60,000+ dazzling lights sprung to life.

One of the highlights of the morning was the auction opportunity. Two generous bidders shelled out a combined $29,000 to earn the coveted honor of pouring the ‘Champagne Cascade’. All proceeds from the auction benefited Intermountain Health Saint Joseph Hospital. Saint Joseph’s Hospital, a non-profit founded in 1873, has been a cornerstone of Denver’s healthcare community for over 150 years. From groundbreaking medical advancements to compassionate patient care, Saint Joe’s has touched countless lives.

As the champagne was poured, everyone cheered & merrily welcomed in the start of the Christmas season.
