Battle of the Bruschetta, Postino


Are you ready for the Battle of the Bruschetta? Now through Labor Day, Postino has a lineup of limited-edition bruschetta that are in competition for a permanent spot on the menu! It's a three-month, bracket-style competition between eight limited-time bruschetta recipes developed by Postino executive chefs. What will your favorite be?

Every two weeks Postino is featuring two new bruschetta to battle to the finals. From June 1 through Labor Day, during each two-week battle round, guests can order two competing bruschetta flavors and vote on their favorite by texting “BATTLE” to (602) 637-1510.

We checked out Battle of the Bruschetta at the Postino in Highlands Ranch. We were seated outside on their lovely patio.

Our server Elise was as sweet as could be - she was kind, attentive and gave us some great recommendations. Restaurant Manager, Allison was active on the restaurant floor our entire meal & ensured all customers had what they needed.

Let’s meet the Battle of the Bruschetta contenders!

The Chicken Curry Salad was made with housemade chicken curry salad, spicy marcona almond, golden raisin & cilantro.

The Spicy Sprout was made with romesco, fried brussels, Calabrian chili, chives & cracked black pepper.

The Chicken Curry Salad is battling the Spicy Sprout 6/29 - 7/12. Ross and I both voted for The Spicy Sprout but it was a close call.

The Mexican Street Corn is made with housemade elote, pequin pepper, feta & fresh cilantro. The Mexican Street Corn won Battle 1 against the Italiano. The Mediterranean is made with romesco, fresh cucumber, Kalamata olive, shallot, chopped tomato, feta, & champagne vinaigrette. The Mediterranean won Battle 2 against the Devilest Egg. The Mexican Street Corn is battling the Mediterranean in the Semi-Finals 7/27 - 8/9.

The Strawberry Cheesecake is made with vanilla bean cheesecake spread, fresh strawberry, & chopped pistachio. The Sweet Potato Pie is made with secret sweet potato pie filling, mascarpone, & candied pecans. The Strawberry Cheesecake is battling the Sweet Potato Pie 7/13 - 7/26.

The champion bruschetta will earn a permanent spot on the Postino menu this fall for all to enjoy!

For Sips we had Blackberry Smash Lemonades made with green tea, housemade lemonade & blackberry.

The perfect refreshing drink for a hot summer morning.

Other eats we tried out during our visit were the Crispy Cauliflower, an OG Bruschetta Board, the Prosciutto & Brie Panini, and the Panettone French Toast.

The Prosciutto & Brie Panini was a standout; it was made with prosciutto di parma, brie, fig jam, arugula, balsamic vinegar, & olive oil. So yummy!
