JING, Ladies Night
Every Thursday night, JING has Ladies Night where groups of 6 or more get a free bottle after 9pm (reservations are highly recommended)! My girl friends and I couldn’t wait to check Ladies Night out for the first time.
We arrived at JING and were seated in the lounge. There was a live DJ spinning and the place was popping. The aesthetic of the lounge was sexy and fun with black banquettes & purple uplighting.
General Manager Kayla and server KP took great care of us. Kayla was active on the lounge and main restaurant floor the entire night ensuring customers and her team had everything they needed (she was awesome). KP was a doll and brought vivacious service to our night.
We started with a bottle of Devant Champagne Brut Cuvee.
The champagne burst on to the tongue with bubbles of white peach and lemon.
For Signature Cocktails we had the Drunken Buddha - a must order at Jing.
The Drunken Buddha was made with house infused Deep Eddy Citron Vodka, and a buddha button. We took the buddha buttons out of our cocktails and chewed on them; this kicked off a numbing and tingling sensation in our mouths. We licked the cocktail’s sugar rim and took a sip. The Drunken Buddha had a delightfully sweet lemonade flavor to it. This was such a fun cocktail.
For Shared Plates we had the the Baked Spicy Lobster Roll, Crispy Korean Short Rib Dumplings, the Lobster Dim Sum, the Truffle Hamachi Sashimi, and the Fried Cauliflower.
The Baked Spicy Lobster Roll was baked with unagi sauce and sesame seeds.
Lord have mercy, this was a delicious roll. The roll came to the table warm from being baked and was generously topped in lobster and spicy mayo. Each sushi piece was hearty and had great texture from the creamy sauce and light chew of the lobster & rice.
The Crispy Korean Short Rib Dumplings were served with unagi sauce, spicy mayo, kimchi and microgreens.
The dumpling had a crisp exterior that crunched and gave way to a cheesy, meaty short rib interior that was hot and savory.
The Lobster Dim Sum was made with lobster, shrimp paste, and ginger Beurre blanc.
The dim sum bites were tender with rich flavor coming from the silky Beurre blanc sauce; the rich sauce found balance in the mildly sweet lobster.
The Truffle Hamachi Sashimi was made with Yellowtail seared with yuzu soy truffle oil.
The yellowtail Hamachi was smooth and buttery on the palate with a lot of umami flavor coming from the truffle oil. The pieces of grapefruit added a nice pop of tart citrus to the fish.
The Fried Cauliflower made with parmesan, and fire roasted red bell pepper purée.
The mild cauliflower took on a subtle spice from the pepper purée.
For Signature Plates we had the Peppercorn Tenderloin, Classic Wok Honey Shrimp, and the Wagyu Fried Rice.
The Peppercorn Tenderloin was made with red bell, jalapeño, and onion.
Mouthwatering - the Peppercorn Tenderloin was a dynamic plate of flavors. The spicy beef had a juicy, crunchy crust and was coated in a sticky sweet glaze. The jalapeño kicked up the heat.
The Classic Wok Honey Shrimp was crispy flash fried with red bell, squash, and snow pea in honey-soy.
The Honey Shrimp were tangy with amazing honey flavor.
The Wagyu Fried Rice was made with egg, corn, soybeans, scallion, carrot, onion, and corn.
The fried rice was savory with pieces of wagyu throughout which made for a filling and hearty dish.
For Dessert we had the Cappuccino Mousse Pie, the Toffee Chocolate Mousse Cake and the Salted Caramel Cheesecake.
The Cappuccino Mousse Pie stole the show and is a must order at Jing - it was so good. The Cappuccino Mousse Pie was made with decadent chocolate cappuccino mousse, vanilla and fudge. Each bite was fluffy and coated the tongue in chocolatey goodness; we ate every last bite.
