My first Chicken Fight Festival was a success!

Chicken Fight Festival is an exciting competition & celebration of food and spirits brought to you by the producers of Top Taco and Rare Steak Festival.

This year's festival took over Elitch Gardens Theme Park for a private, adult-only evening. The festival was a curated selection of top restaurants in Colorado each of which offered their own bite-sized chicken in a bid to win your vote. Categories include Best Fried Chicken, Best Wings, & Best Cocktail.

There were over 40 restaurants competing, several stages of music...& YES, the rides were open!

My vote for best fried chicken went to Counter Culture Brewery + Grille. Their Deluxe Fried Chicken Sandwich is made with a 6oz pickle-brined and buttermilk fried chicken breast topped with American cheese, sambal aioli, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles, served on a brioche bun.

This fried chicken sandwich was irresistible - hot & crispy with a mouthwateringly juicy center. The chicken had a zip to it thanks to the pickle juice & buttermilk marinade. The brioche bun was sweet and the sambal aioli added a nice dimension of tang. 10/10, well done Counter Culture Brewery + Grille!

Ross and I chowed down on chicken from several restaurants & got lots of rides in.
