Etc. Eatery
As patio season comes into full swing, I’m looking for a hot spot to enjoy bottomless mimosas & great food. Well let me up that ante to bottomless cocktails for you all - Etc. Eatery has patio seating for days & bottomless cocktails (for only $25) to match. Get ready to Eat. Drink. Etc.
We arrived at Etc. Eatery for brunch and were seated on the outdoor patio. The aesthetic of the restaurant is playful & vintage - from the upcycled art to vintage decor, Etc. Eatery is truly a spot to unwind with friends and have a good time. Etc. Eatery has a downstairs patio & rooftop patio so there was ample seating outside to choose from.
Owner, Tim, took care of us & his witty energy set the tone for our meal. His passion for Etc. Eatery, the food & his team along with his adventurous spirit was evident in every space of the restaurant and every dish that came out of the kitchen
Myself, Addi & Sami all opted for bottomless cocktails, Ross went for coffee & we got our brunch kicked off.
The Bourbon Peach Mule is made with Jim Beam Bourbon & housemade ruby peach ginger beer.
This mule was a nice refresher - it tasted like a juicy peach soaked in ginger beer.
The Prickly Pear Margarita is made with Teremana Tequila Blanco, Prickly Pear Puree, Fresh Lime Juice, & Agave.
The Prickly Pear Margarita was sweet, slightly sour & juicy. A go-to cocktail for summer.
The Paloma is made with Corazon Reposado, Grapefruit Juice, Lime Juice, & Red Bull Tropical.
The Paloma was sweet, sour, and refreshing - a wonderful combination of sweet and tart.
& of course we enjoyed our share of mimosas as well!
For starters we had the Coctel de Cameron. The Coctel de Cameron is a Mexican style cocktail with shrimp and avocado, served with housemade chips.
The Coctel de Cameron was a great summer appetizer - a solid mix of spicy flavors and the onions and tomatoes made for a salsa-y zing with just the right amount of citrus. The chips had a good balance of salt with a tasty crunch.
For mains we had the Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup, Shakshouka, the Praline Pancake, the Loco Moco and the Pegao de Arroz.
The Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup is a classic grilled cheese served with tomato soup to dip.
The Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup was my favorite! The Grilled Cheese was made with Texas Toast which made for epic big buttery, crunchy-but-soft bites. The Grilled Cheese begged to be dunked in the roasted tomato soup and made for a mouthwatering flavor combo.
The Shakshouka is two eggs cooked in stewed tomato & red pepper sauce, lamb marquez, feta and laffa.
The Shakshouka was warmly spiced & hearty - it was like a Mediterranean version of huevos rancheros. The cooked eggs & spiced tomato pepper sauce paired nicely with the tangy feta and soft laffa bread.
The Praline Pancake is a large country style pancake covered with housemade praline sauce.
Yes please - so drool-worthy. The Praline Pancake was warm, fluffy and generously coated in rich praline sauce. The Praline sauce had a decadent caramel like consistency with flavor notes of brown sugar, butter & toasted pecans.
The Loco Moco is two burger patties, rice, gravy, sunny side-up eggs & sautéed onions.
The Loco Moco is a breakfast dish really popular in Hawaii and makes for the best comfort food/hangover cure. The juicy, beefy burger patties were smothered in flavorful gravy. The sautéed onions worked great in texture and taste with both the meat patties and the gravy.
The Pegao de Arroz is a sunny side up egg, crispy rice, salsa roja, black bean puree and avocado.
This rice dish was crispy and savory. The rice had a gold crust to it making for a subtle crunchy texture that went well with the smooth black bean puree and avocado.
What a brunch! Big thanks to Etc. Eatery and Tim for hosting us! We will be back soon!
Check it out babes and let them know that denv.her. sent you! Eat. Drink. Etc.
