Homegrown Tap & Dough, Littleton

Homegrown Tap & Dough has expanded to Littleton and we couldn't wait to check out the newest location!

Homegrown Tap & Dough, Littleton

We arrived at Homegrown Tap & Dough, Littleton and were seated in the main dining room. Homegrown Tap & Dough is a loved Italian-Colorado fusion concept, where artisanal pizzas put them on the map.

The aesthetic of the restaurant is ski lodge inspired with rustic ski equipment, exposed wood beams, metal light fixtures and warm tones of tan and gray which create the feel of a cozy mountain retreat. This is a perfect spot to bring friends or family for a great meal (there's also a free arcade game room we took full advantage of)!

Our server Rico was the man! His excitement for the new Homegrown Tap & Dough location really rubbed off on us & he kept the energy high throughout our lunch; we had such a great time.

To start off our meal we shared several small plates:Pepperoni Rolls, Buffalo Ranch Kettle Chips & Buffalo Wings. The Pepperoni Rolls were tossed in Parmesan, Served with Ranch and House-made Marinara Sauce.

The Pepperoni Rolls

YUM - the Pepperoni Rolls were my absolute favorite. The bread rolls were hot, soft and buttery and filled with meaty pepperoni & gooey cheese. We dunked the piping hot rolls of goodness into marinara and ranch for extra saucy bites. Each bite was spot on - warm and pillowey with savory cheese & spicy pepperoni. 10/10

The Buffalo Ranch Kettle Chips were drizzled with Frank’s Red Hot, Cracked Pepper, Blue Cheese Crumble, and Ranch.

Buffalo Ranch Kettle Chips

Say hello to the crunchy, chip version of hot wings! The Frank's sauce was spicy & tangy; it paired well with the cool ranch of the chips. The chips had a nice crunch that was complemented by the soft blue cheese crumbles.

The Buffalo Wings were served with Celery, Carrots, & Ranch.

Buffalo Wings

Buffalo Wings

The buffalo wings were tender and saucy with a nice vinegar hit.

For cocktails I had the Venetian Spritz, Dana had the Sangria & Ryan had the Hazyish IPA from Avery Brewing Co.

Venetian Spritz

The Venetian Spritz was fabulous - floral, woodsy and citrusy with a gentle effervescence. Each flavor note shone on my palate and played beautifully with the soda in the spritz.

Sangria

The Sangria was cool and fruity with a strong sweetness.

Ryan's Hazyish IPA had a good balance of breadiness in taste & citrusy hops. Juicy notes of orange and melon were present.

Hazyish IPA

This beer was very crushable.

We had two Artisanal Wood Fired Pizzas made with fresh Ingredients 14" & locally sourced - we had Meat Lovers and Pigs & Pears. The Meat Lovers pizza is made with Red Sauce, Mozzarella, Pepperoni, Spicy Italian Sausage, Ham, & Candied Bacon.

Meat Lovers

The Meat Lover's Pizza had a crispy crust and was loaded with all the meats. This pizza was a bomb combo of sweetness, spice, and smoke where the candied bacon was the star. The brown sugar and syrup glaze on the bacon made for mouthwatering bites.

The Pigs & Pears pizza is made with Roasted Garlic Base, Mozzarella, Parmesan, Goat Cheese, Butternut Squash, Candied Pear, Bacon, Arugula, & Balsamic Drizzle.

Pigs & Pears

This pizza was flavorful & sophisticated - it had so much going on (in all the right ways) in terms of color, flavor, and texture. The crisp crust, sweet juicy pears, roasted squash, crisp bacon, & plenty of melty cheese all topped with fresh arugula and balsamic had our taste buds singing. The lovely chunks of goat cheese made for distinct, creamy bites.

Ross had The Grinder Sandwich which came with a side caesar salad. The Grinder is made with Braised Beef, Giardiera, Red Onion, Garlic Aioli, Provolone, & Ajus.

The Grinder Sandwich

The Grinder Sandwich

The tender braised beef was heaped onto the hearty roll of bread. The provolone was nice and melted from the heat of the beef. The giardiniera was a spicy mix of peppers, onions and celery making for a tangy kick of a sandwich spread.

For dessert we had the cheesecake and per Rico’s recommendation, we paired it with a fabulous stout beer.

The cheesecake was light and creamy, drizzled with chocolate and caramel and topped with satisfying, crunchy bits of toffee and chocolate. The stout beer had flavor notes of coffee.

Huge thanks to Homegrown Tap & Dough, Rico, Chef Kai, Manager Karla, Emily Tracy and ROOT the good food agency for hosting us!

Check it out babes and let them know that denv.her. sent you!
