Thompson Denver, Grand Opening

We attended the grand opening of Thompson Denver and - OH MY GOSH - this boutique hotel is going to make a major statement in the Denver social, culinary & hospitality scene.

Upon arriving at Thompson Denver, we were engulfed in a modern-day urban chalet. The aesthetic of the hotel harkens to Aspen with exposed timber and brick framing in the lobby, fireplaces and layered textiles to create a warm environment. The overall vibe is upscale and current with a Colorado touch.

We made our way to the lobby bar for some celebratory champagne.

The lobby bar had an inviting oval design and was adorned with stunning flower arrangements. There was a DJ in the bar area keeping energy & vibes high.

Thompson Denver offers restaurants and nightlife in the forms of Chez Magggy, Reynard Social & Duel Coffee.

Chez Maggy is where French brasserie meets Mile High Colorado. Michelin starred chef Ludo Lefebvre has curated a menu of classic French cuisine using ingredients native to our state. We were able to try several of Chezy Maggy's drinks and hors d'oeuvres including dirty martinis, avocado toast, duck pate, and cripsy tapiaco.

The mini avacoado toasts were our favorite - the red pepper chile flakes on top added beautiful spice.

Reynard Social is a cocktail lounge on the 6th floor of Thompson Denver and this is going to be a new hot spot.

We walked into Reynard Social and were surrounding in blue light. The name Reynard is a nod to Reynard the Fox who is a beloved trickster of European folklore. The name bodes well for the rogue playfulness of the space (& the patron ice luge really upped the ante)!
