We kicked off the holiday season in Denver this weekend at The Brown Palace Hotel for their 34th Annual Champagne Cascade. This iconic Denver event featured the lighting of the Brown Palace's Christmas chandelier & the sabering & pouring of Moet & Chandon champagne into a 5,000+ coupe glass pyramid.

We arrived at The Brown Palace Hotel and headed upstairs for the VIP Viewing on the Mezzanine. The exclusive viewing location on the Mezzanine level of the atrium included all we could eat hors d'oeuvres, all we could drink (beer, wine, champagne), VIP photos & the best views of the Cascade.

Everyone was dressed to impress in holiday cocktail/formal wear.

The Champagne Cascade crowd lined all levels of the holiday adorned-atrium as we eagerly awaited the lighting of the Christmas chandelier. Garland danced across the mezzanine arches accompanied by a plethora of twinkling lights and white winter branches. All of these decorations complemented the big decor daddy of them all, the Brown Palace’s 25 foot Christmas chandelier. The chandelier was donned with yards of beading & ornaments. There was a drumroll and the chandelier’s 1000+ lights sprung to life.

Make-A-Wish Colorado was the benefactor of the Annual Champagne Cascade for the third year in a row. The Brown Palace Hotel was thrilled to partner with them again as they continue to grant life-changing wishes for children battling critical illnesses. At the event, they granted a darling little boy’s wish to be an Avalanche hockey player for a day.

The 34th Annual Champagne Cascade featured master swordsmen who used Napoleonic sabers to sever the bottlenecks of Moet Champagne magnums; the champagne was then poured into the uppermost glass of a two-story high coupe glass pyramid. As the champagne was poured, everyone cheered & merrily welcomed in the start of the Christmas season.
