Ocean Prime, Denver Tech Center

Ocean Prime is one of my favorite restaurants in Denver. Ambience & service are always on point and the kitchen always delivers amazing dish after amazing dish. There are Ocean Prime locations in downtown Denver & in the Denver Tech Center.

The aesthetic of Ocean Prime is modern, clean-lined, & sophisticated. We were seated in the main dining room and began our meal with Ocean Prime's complimentary bread.

The pretzel bread was our favorite - it had a deep brown hue and was dense, soft & chewy.

We then split an Ocean Prime House Salad as a starter. The Ocean Prime House Salad is made with Romaine, Field Greens, Granny Smith Apples, Goat Cheese, Walnuts, & Sherry Mustard Vinaigrette.

The Ocean Prime House Salad was solid - it's a nice winter salad and we enjoyed the crunch of the walnuts, the snap of the granny smith apples and the creamy goat cheese. All the flavors blended well together and the Sherry Mustard Vinaigrette was acidic but not as overpowering.

For our entrees we had the Teriyaki Salmon and the Chilean Sea Bass.

The Teriyaki Salmon is served atop Shiitake Sticky Rice & coated in Soy Butter Sauce.

The Teriyaki Salmon was AMAZING - flaky, juicy and the perfect combination of sweet and tangy. The delicious teriyaki glaze was bold and thick. The glaze made an amazing addition to the rice & veggie toppings. The veggie toppings made the dish taste bright & enticing and added nice color to the entree. This is one of the best salmon entrees you can find in Denver.

The Chilean Sea Bass is served atop Whipped Potatoes & coated Champagne Truffle Sauce.

A must order per usual - every bite of this entree was a delightful indulgence. The Chilean Sea Bass had a mild delicate flavor with subtle sweetness and the light fish melted in our mouths. The champagne truffle cream sauce was luscious & decadent. The Chilean Sea Bass is Ocean Prime's most popular entree and if you've never had it, you must.

For Sides we had the Jalapeno Au Gratin, Smoked Gouda Tater Tots and Black Truffle Mac & Cheese.

All solid - the Black Truffle Mac & Cheese was our favorite.

For dessert we had the Warm Butter Cake served with Fresh Berries, Vanilla Ice Cream, & Raspberry Sauce.

The butter cake had a light crunch on the outside and was gooey, warm in the center (& oh so buttery sweet throughout). SO. FREAKING. GOOD. The Warm Butter cake is a drool worthy showstopper; a must order!
