Emsculpt, Advanced Body Sculpting Institute
The new year is rapidly approaching Denver and who else is looking for a tighter & firmer body in 2022? I know I am! I was thrilled to partner with Advanced Body Sculpting Institute back in October for Emsculpt. I can't wait to show you all my results!
So what is Emsculpt? Emsculpt is a machine that induces thousands of powerful supramaximal muscle contractions through high intensity focused electromagnetic energy. I arrived at the Advanced Body Sculpting Institute & headed inside.
The office was lovely & clean. Every employee I encountered during my treatments was inviting & attentive. Marketing Coordinator, Morgan Lorenti is the bomb! My Emsculpt Technician - Dana - was so sweet & incredibly knowledgeable about Emsculpt. She answered any and all questions I had during my treatments and ensured I was always comfortable.
I had 4 Emsculpt treatments on my glutes (my butt) scheduled 2-3 days apart. Those 4 total Emsculpt treatments scheduled 2-3 days apart are recommended for the best results.
Once in the Emsculpt room, I laid on my stomach on the cozy treatment table. Dana then situated the 2 Emsculpt paddles on my butt - one paddle on each butt cheek.
Treatment time is 30 minutes so I was able to schedule and get my treatments done during the work week, during my lunch break. Talk about convenience! & what an epic way to achieve a tight and lifted booty without extensive time at the gym.
30 minutes of Emsclupt is the equivalent of 20,000 squats. TWENTY THOUSAND!
Dana began my Emsculpt treatment and my butt muscles began strongly contracting. It was the weirdest sensation; but I quickly got used to it!
You can see my initial shock above during those first contractions! It didn't hurt; it felt comparable to flexing my butt as hard as I could. It felt like an extreme glutes workout - yet I was laying there chilling while the Emsculpt machine did it's thing.
The Emsculpt machine has intensity levels that go from 0-100. The intensity controls how strong the electromagnetic energy is that contracts the muscles.
During each of my treatments, Dana let me pick my intensity levels based on how the muscle contractions in my butt were feeling.
The Emsculpt machine goes in cycles - there's the contracting cycle and then the tapping cycle. The contracting cycle is when I experienced the powerful muscle contractions. The tapping cycle is where the Emsclupt machine tapped my butt muscles to break up the lactic acid that built up during the contracting cycle. These cycles are each repeated a couple of times during the 30 minute treatment.
For best results, diet & exercise are recommended throughout your Emsculpt treatments. Your body will respond better to the treatments if you're committed to a healthy lifestyle on your own watch. My workout of choice during my Emsculpt journey was walking the dog. I took my dog Forbes on 3+ mile walks 4-5 times a week.
I went back to the Advanced Body Sculpting Institute 2 months following my 4th and final Emsculpt treatment. The butt muscles continue growing and forming following all 4 treatments so those 2 months allow the muscles to fully respond prior to taking final result photos.
