Meow Wolf Denver is Meow Wolf's third permanent exhibition in the US and is named Convergence Station. Convergence Station is a 4-story exhibition with 70+ unique installations, rooms, & portals.
We visited Convergence Station in a group of 6 & definitely recommend going with friends. This makes the experience more engaging as you can get everyone's take on the peculiar, mind-bending art as you adventure through each trippy world. It also helps to have people to talk to as there may be some waiting involved in the exhibit due to crowds. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as a lot of walking is involved!
Convergence Station is made up of 4 Converged Worlds. Those Worlds include: Numina, Ossuary, Eemia and C Street.
Numina reminded us of a psychedelic rainforest. It was filled with all types of multicolored organisms & creatures.
Numina is described by the artists as a living sentient universe. Numina had portals to other worlds; it connected us to several installations all over the exhibit.
Ossuary gave us outer space & alien academia vibes. Ossuary is described as a civilization devoted to mining natural elements and Oss crystals. Ossuary librarians use the Oss crystals to hold their peoples' memories.
I found my favorite room in Ossuary - the pastel room with colored fabric stirps dancing on the ceiling & chandeliers throughout (v Marie Antoinette vibes).
Eemia is where we found the kaleidoscope cathedral prismatic & glowing. As described by artists, Eemia's leader is trying to save her people from an ice age with an "opening in the sky". You can find this opening swirling above the cathedral in the exhibit.
C Street gave us Tokyo street market vibes. It was busy, colorful and is described by artists as a grimy area that was once the scorned sanitation district of a planet-wide metropolis. C Street had some exhibits that creeped me out a bit!
Meow Wolf offers food, desserts, alcohol, & beverages at the HELLOFOOD Cafe & Bar. Here customers can grab a bite, treats & brews. The line for HELLOFOOD was SUPER long (I’m talking like over 30 mins of waiting) when we arrived so we didn't grab drinks prior to exploring the exhibit.
Parking is mildly disastrous if you’re looking to check out Meow Wolf - especially on the weekends when it’s busy - so make sure you give yourself ample time (20 minutes) to identify a spot prior to your ticket entrance time.
Check it out psychedelic babes & let them know that denv.her. sent you! xx
