Linger

Linger - verb - to stay in a place longer than necessary because of a reluctance to leave.

This is actually the opposite of what we want to do when dining at Linger; yet we still end up there about 2 times a year. Why? The freaking location & the prime patio views. Those are the only positive things I can say about Linger.

We just dined at Linger in one of their igloos for brunch.

They have heaters in the igloos - but be forewarned - they don't work well & the staff could care less. That's actually my main gripe with Linger - the staff. The host and wait staff at Linger are consistently dismissive & ALWAYS provide perfunctory service. AKA, they're rude and wait on tables with minimal effort (pandemic or no pandemic).

So what about drinks & food? Well, the drinks & food at Linger are kinda pricey and they are not good.

Bottomless Mimosas, $16/person with entree purchase.

YUCK. Linger's Mimosas tend to be warm and then it's v hard to get refills from the aloof wait staff (whether that be for bottomless mimosas or water). I’ve never dined at Linger and had drinks brought to the table or refilled in a timely manner.

Bao Buns, $6/piece.

You have the choice of Mongolian BBQ Duck, Korean Fried Chicken or 5-Spice Pork Belly. These Bao Buns are mediocre at best and certainly aren't worth $6/piece but if you end up at Linger, they are arguably the safest choice to order as they aren't horrible.

My friends and I all ordered Bao Buns and the waitress made a snarky comment about how we all need to hang out with other people since we ordered the same thing #rude.

Fried Egg on a Roll, $13.

The Fried Egg on a Roll is Smoked Ham, Arugula, Crispy Onion & Dill Pickle Mayo on this bizarre piece of bread served with pepperoncini & home fries (aka questionable potatoes). This breakfast sandwich is disgusting (which I'm sure most everyone can readily discern that from the picture). Words to really capture the taste of this disgraceful breakfast sammy - DRY AF.

Dessert, Peanut Butter Bar, $6.

The Peanut Butter Bar is Peanut Butter Tahini Mousse, Dark Chocolate, Brown Sugar Meringue & Pomegranate.

Guys they legit gave us this dessert in a plastic tin. Like???

I guess bowls and plates are now unnecessary for diners.

The dessert was gross (no surprise there) & we think they probably had this dessert for a to-go customer who didn't pick it up so why not just give it to a table that's dining in? So tacky.

I don't recommend dining at Linger unless you like bad service and pricey, subpar food.
