Uncorked Kitchen, Taste of Uncorked - Gnocchi
"My day job may be exhausting, but cooking is my peace. My dream is to have a big family with lots of grandkids. And we'll get together every Sunday for a hearty dinner at our house, and we'll all live in flavorful bliss, happily ever after." - Chrissy Teigen
denv.her. was invited in to Uncorked Kitchen & Wine Bar for one of their "Taste of Uncorked" classes - a mini cooking class - and Kenzy and I were ready to take a stab (but not literally, because you know, knife safety first lol) at cooking up some homemade gnocchi!

TASTE OF UNCORKED- HOMEMADE ITALIAN GNOCCHI
Our chef & teacher - Logan - guided us through our class seamlessly and was a great assist when we didn't necessarily feel comfortable in our mincing skills or stove activity (aka me the entire class #halp).
First, Logan walked us through knife safety instructions which were much needed. Why? Because personally, the only time I use a knife that sharp is to open my Amazon packages lol.
We then began making our salad! It was a bitter kale & veggie salad tossed with almonds, prosciutto, and a nice vinaigrette.
OH.
& did I mention that you can be imbibing in Uncorked Kitchen's amazing wine selection DURING your class?!
#yasplease!
& cooking gets a lot more fun when the wine is flowing and you're dancing to the fun tunes Uncorked has playing in the background!
Next up, we started making the gnocchi.
Rolling and cutting the little gnocchi pasta pillows was my favorite!
Once the gnocchi's were rolled out, cut and forked - it was time to cook them along with some veggies we had sliced up!
A fun thing about Uncorked's classes is that it's a great place to meet people! Kenzy and I were paired up with another two gal pals - Martine & Nicole - and we had an absolute blast with them.

While we were cooking, we started working up a sweat in the kitchen and Logan was able to open the garage window in the room too get some air circulating and to let us enjoy the outside scenery.
We cooked the prosciutto to make it nice and crispy to use in the salad.
Once the gnocchis had been boiled in the water, we zapped them in a pan over the stove with lots of butter and prosciutto grease to make them nice and golden brown.
Once the gnocchis and peppers were nice and cooked - we plated them and added sausage.
The large family style serving of gnocchi we had made was then topped with Parmesan and thyme.
Buon appetito! Time to eat!
Guys this gnocchi was SO tasty and the salad complemented it really well. There's also something really special about eating a meal you just made and knowing you now have the skills to try your hand at it at home! Our Taste of Uncorked two hour class flew by and I was V pleased that I got out of my comfort zone, tried something new and actually had a lot of fun while doing it!
Uncorked has so many other fun offerings as well such as couple cooking classes, cooking technique classes, family cooking classes, kids cooking classes, birthday classes and wine tastings! You can also just head to Uncorked Kitchen and hang out in their bar for some drinks and apps if you aren't quite in the cooking mood - there's something for everyone here!
Huge thanks to Uncorked Kitchen for having us in and we will be back very soon!
