We dined at the Trailhead Lodge for breakfast during our stay at Brush Creek Ranch. The Lodge boasted impressive views, an all-encompassing western atmosphere, excellent service, and healthy-start options to kick off our day.

I started off breakfast with a fresh pressed juice - the Ginger Sunrise was made with carrot, orange, turmeric and golden beet.

This was a lovely morning juice blend that put pep in my step. The juice was loaded with the richly colored roots and the sweet orange smoothed out the taste with its sweetness.

We had freshly brewed coffee that was piping hot.

We had buttermilk biscuits right out of the oven served alongside berry preserves & Nutella.

The homemade biscuits were incredibly soft with a little tang from the berry preserves.

For Breakfast Plates we had the Whipped Ricotta Pancakes and the Eggs Your Way.

The Whipped Ricotta Pancakes were served alongside barrel aged maple syrup.

Delicious. The thin flap jacks were soft, warm and the ricotta made the pancakes milky sweet. The barrel aged maple syrup had a rich butterscotch-like flavor.

The Eggs Your Way were made with two eggs, bison game sausage and breakfast potatoes.

The fresh eggs had vibrantly yellow, runny yolks. The bison sausage had a big, hearty red meat flavor that was gamey with a hint of sweetness. The breakfast potatoes were the best fingerling potatoes I've ever had. Their thin skins were crisp and salted & gave way to a soft, fluffy potato interior.
